Asha Prakash is a sport psychology research enthusiast with a keen interest in exploring often-overlooked aspects of female athletic performance. Her research primarily focuses on the impact of the menstrual cycle, athletic transitions, and body image consciousness, aiming to address gaps in sports science and athlete well-being. With an MSc in Sport Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University, she has conducted qualitative studies using reflexive thematic analysis to understand the psychological challenges female athletes face during menstrual cycle. While her primary focus is on these areas, she remains open to broader research avenues, driven by a commitment to highlighting and addressing issues that have been historically dismissed in sports research.
